Releasing Students to Non-Parent/Guardian

Releasing Students to Persons Other than Parent, Guardian, or Relative Caregiver

As Newark Charter School is a closed campus, students are not permitted to leave campus during school without parent permission and administrative approval.

If someone other than a parent, guardian, or relative care giver (as identified on the Emergency Card submitted at the beginning of the school year) requests a student to be released to their care, a notification from the student’s parent or guardian is required.

Notification from the parent can take the following form: letter, email or phone call.

The person picking up the student will be asked to show photo identification.

Newark Charter School may call the phone numbers listed on the Emergency Card to verify information. If verification can not be ascertained to the satisfaction of NCS administration, the student will not be released.
