National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.

National Junior Honor Society provides students with the opportunity to give back to the community and be recognized for their outstanding achievements. They also prepare students for the future by building a commitment to service and honing the leadership skill necessary to succeed both in school and after graduation.

Eligibility

Students are invited to apply to be a member of NJHS during the spring of their 7th grade year if their cumulative unweighted GPA is at least a 3.5. GPAs are not rounded. Areas of service, leadership, citizenship, and character are also considered and reviewed for all applicants. If accepted, students are inducted into NJHS at the end of 7th grade. NJHS members will complete many service projects throughout the school year and will also accumulate individual service hours. The NJHS advisors are Mrs. Rozman and Mrs. Vigliotta.
